• Q: Exactly what is a "Optimized Website Portfolio" (OWP)?  A: It's our standardized, affordable, entry level, high performance website package. Features include: (a) A Home page; (b) The ability to create unlimited Portfolio sections featuring your work, each Portfolio including a Master Portfolio page containing an unlimited number of project items, each linked to a dedicated Project page containing text and an unlimited number of captioned images; (c) The ability for you to add, edit or delete text or images on any page from your own computer desktop; (d) The ability for you to add/edit/delete all contact information throughout your website; (e) Optimized for the search engines by our search engine specialists; (f) Plus, a free enhanced listing in our high-traffic Restoration Trades Directory, as long as you host with us. (g) Ten (10) email boxes. (h) Free domain, if you don't have it.
• Q: What about DOMAIN? Can I keep my web address?  A: We can use your old URL, no charge if you manage your own domain. We charge hourly for domain management if you wish us to handle this.
• Q: What if I don't have DOMAIN? Is it included?  A: If you don't have domain, we will help you select a new domain, order it and manage it for you, at no extra charge.
• Q: How much does a Optimized Website Portfolio COST?  A: Total package price is $996.00, charged to your credit card in 12 easy payments of $83.00. We also charge $33.00 per month for hosting, which we collect monthly as well. Total charges are therefore $116.00 per month for the first 12 months and then just $33.00 per month for hosting after that. If you want to pay by check, we request a single payment of $1,392.00, mailed to Meetinghouse Research Group, POB 60366, Florence, MA 01062.
• Q: I like my EXISTING WEBSITE but would like to add Project Portfolios (with CMS functions) to my existing website. What is the cost?  A: Same as above, plus the labor cost to move your existing website onto our server and to integrate it with the OWP.
• Q: What services are included for my $996.00?  A: We will set up your website and optimize the content for the search engines, one time, once you have uploaded it to the website.
• Q: What is NOT INCLUDED in the basic package price?  A: Not included in the single package price are additional non-Portfolio/Project pages, additional design services, additional programming services, domain management, email management, copy writing or posting your content (text and images) to your website. Also not included is desktop support for setting up your email client to login to your email boxes. We strongly suggest that you engage a professional for email support. We can furnish any of these custom services at a reasonable cost.
• Q: WHAT ADDITIONAL EXPENSES must I budget for beyond the quoted cost for the OWP?  A: If you do not require any custom services from us, the only additional cost that you must budget for is a monthly fee for hosting for your website, $33.00 per month. This fee can be paid monthly, by subscription to your credit card, or annually, in advance, by check of $396.00 mailed to Meetinghouse Research Group, POB 60366, Florence, MA 01062.
• Q: How long does it take until I can start to post text and images to my new OWP?  A: Your website is ready for you to upload your text and images immediately.
• Q: Your Optimized Website Portfolio is a little too "basic" for me. Can I get a DESIGN UPGRADE?  A: We can furnish any custom design upgrade that you like, and charge accordingly. We can make the website look like almost any website you admire, just let us know the URL. We can easily change the colors of backgrounds and fonts at relatively little cost. We can do any design upgrade anytime, now or after you upload the content to your website, so you do not need to make any design decision before you begin to create your Project Portfolios.
• Q: Can you show me a OWP?  A: Click here.
• Q: HOW EASY IS IT TO USE the CMS (Content Management System) that allows me to upload text and images to the OWP?   A: Easy, you login with a password and make the changes. Call us, we'll set you up with the fully functional OWP, ready for you to load your content into, on approval, at no charge, no obligation. If after a week you discover that it is not as easy as we said, we'll take it back with our thanks for giving our OWP a try.
• Q: Suppose I like the OWP, but don't have the time or inclination to do the updates myself. Can you load the content into the website for me?  A: Yes, we can do the updates for you and charge accordingly.
• Q: Suppose I want to host your OWP on another server?  A: Yes, we can put any work you like on your server. There will be inefficiencies in having us research the capacities of your server and in adapting it to our program (or vice versa) and we will charge accordingly. We will need to be paid in advance for such work.
• Q: Suppose I put my website on your server and decide to move it later?  A: Let us know and we will furnish your new webmaster whatever files, consultation and assistance that she needs and charge accordingly for our time. Furnishing the files alone will not take more than an hour. Training your webmaster, if necessary, will take more time.
• Q: Suppose I have a website and want to keep the EXISTING URL's (web addresses) of certain pages so that clients and search engines can find these established pages?  A: Let us know the URL's you need and we will rename relevant page to those exact names to preserve your traffic. There will be a small charge for this custom work.
• Q: How do you "OPTIMIZE" the content of the Optimized Website Portfolio?  A: Three ways: (a) The website is structured to present information in a way that is search engine compliant; (b) The input fields instruct you to enter your information in a format which is search engine compliant; (c) Once you have posted up your content, our search engine expert will review your work and furnish a written review, with specific suggestions, and then follow up with you to make sure that you have made the changes correctly. Our expert will not do any copy editing, although that service is available.
• Q: Do you BACKUP the server?  A: Our web servers are managed by Future Hosting and are backed up daily. If there should be any server failure, we can recover it. If you are responsible for losing data, we can recover it and will charge by the hour for doing so. Although we maintain backups, you should always make backups of all your data, and keep them on your computer desktop. We can not be liable for any data losses.
