• Q: What is a "ARTISANS WEBSITE PORTFOLIO" (AWP)?  A: It is an online version of your "real world" projects portfolio. It contains text and images, organized by projects and by general subjects. You can add/edit/delete any text, images, projects or portfolios YOURSELF, in real time, for free. Click here to see a list of AWP's in use, by a diverse range of artisans, in the U.S. and Canada.
• Q: How do I get an "ARTISANS WEBSITE PORTFOLIO" (AWP) and how much does it COST?  A: If you have a listing in our Restoration Trades Directory, then you ALREADY HAVE have a complete web Portfolio, as part of our recent upgrade. Login to your listing and click on the link "Log in to my Artisan's Website Portfolio". The AWP is part of your FREE LISTING, so there is NO CHARGE.
• Q: Who are the companies on your AWP List with Portfolios on their own web domains?  A: Those are our own web development clients who have chosen to incorporate the "ARTISANS WEBSITE PORTFOLIO" into their own website, on their own domain. Click here to see the list.
• Q: Do your web development clients get other benefits?  A: They get multiple listing privileges in our Restoration Trades Directory.
• Q: How much does it cost to integrate the ARTISANS WEBSITE PORTFOLIO into my website?  A: There is a one time fee of $345.00, billed at launch, and then $395.00 per year, for hosting.
• Q: What is NOT INCLUDED in the one time fee?  A: Not included in the single package price are additional design services, additional programming services, domain management, email management, copy writing, search engine optimization or posting your content (text and images) to your website. Also not included is desktop support for setting up your email client to login to your email boxes. We suggest that you engage a professional for email support. We can furnish any of these custom services at a reasonable cost.
• Q: What about DOMAIN? Can I keep my web address?  A: Yes, you can use your old URL. You can manage it yourself or hire us to do so.
• Q: What if I don't have DOMAIN?   A: NEW domain is included in the price.
• Q: I like the design of my EXISTING WEBSITE but would like to add Project Portfolios (with CMS functions) to my existing website. What is the cost?  A: The labor cost to move your existing website onto our server and to integrate it with the AWP.
• Q: WHAT ADDITIONAL EXPENSES must I budget for beyond the quoted cost for the AWP?  A: If you do not require ANY custom services from us, then NOTHING.
• Q: How long does it take until I can start to post text and images to my new AWP?  A: Your website is ready for you to upload your text and images immediately.
• Q: Your ARTISANS WEBSITE PORTFOLIO is too "basic" for me. Can I get a DESIGN UPGRADE?  A: We can furnish any custom design upgrade that you like, and charge accordingly. We can make it look exactly like your existing website. Or we can make the website look like almost any website you admire, just let us know the URL. We can easily change the colors of backgrounds and fonts at no additional cost. We can do any design upgrade anytime, now or after you upload the content to your website, so you do not need to make any design decision before you begin to create your Project Portfolios. • Q: HOW EASY IS IT TO USE the CMS (Content Management System) that allows me to upload text and images to the AWP?   A: Easy, you login with a password and follow the instructions. Click here for additional resources. For a sample login, call us at 413-586-4748.
• Q: Suppose I like the AWP, but don't have the time or inclination to do the updates myself. Can you load the content into the website for me?  A: Yes, we can do the updates for you and charge accordingly.
• Q: Suppose I have a website and want to keep the EXISTING URL's (web addresses) of certain pages so that clients and search engines can find these established pages?  A: Let us know the URL's you need and we will rename relevant page to those exact names to preserve your traffic. There will be a small charge for this custom work.
